My Krazy Life, in the context of YG's career, is still an impressive accomplishment and was no doubt an important moment for the set of rappers who weren't interested in riding the coattails of Top Dawg but neither were they interested in the 'normal' style of guys like Dom Kennedy, conscious style of Blu or abstract style of the Hellfyre Club. The planned album never appeared, as YG entered the studio with a different producer, DJ Mustard. The album My Krazy Life finally landed in 2014, with Drake, Rich Homie Quan, and ScHoolboy Q among its guests. The album earned positive reviews, and debuted at number two on the album charts.
