Mar 17, 2015 Hi. Im facing the same problem, only i dont use comodo. I could connect to my wifi with my phone but not with my laptop. Tried pinging google but connection is there and even trying ipconfig /release and ipconfig /renew, still getting the same “establishing secure connection” on “any” sites, then err times out after couple of secs. Windows Update 1803 is causing Google chrome not being able to get Internet service. Only reason I install the fall update because geforce experience wouldn't install it's gpu driver without. Do I understand correctly; from what you say; that you had Chrome & Firefox installed and working before the upgrade. You are talking about just upgrading from Windows 7 or 8 to Windows 10 on the same machine ? Not moving to a new computer.

I've done nothing else sides install Chrome, and my God, it takes forever to load pages.

What is wrong? I've tried reinstalling Chrome, and I also tried this fix here, to no avail.
All I can see is that on the bottom left, it shows 'Establishing secure connection' for a very long time. This doesn't seem to be an isolated issue either; it seems many people experience the same problem.
Can somebody please help? It's really inconvenient not being able to use Chrome.
Update: I found a fix to this issue. Simply follow the instructions at this link with the third-party program. Use at your own risk of course, but it worked fine for me.
