Close Audition. Open patchmix dsp Start new session. Use 44.1 default multitrack. Left and right physical inputs will be send to 'ASIO 1n 1/2 host'. Select ASIO driver as audio driver in preferences/options. If recording mic, add a mono track, select input 1 or left input and record. Before the update, Adobe Audition CC worked fine. Now I get 'MME device internal error' Also, I have a Focusrite Scarlett 2i4 2Gen interface, worked fine. But not after the update. I have sound out of Adobe Audition. I tried ASIO4ALL but is not good for me. I updated the sound drivers. Problem continue. How can I fix this, please? Thanks a lot!

I have set up my Zoom H4N as an audio interface and have no luck recording in Adobe Audition.
I have downloaded the ASIO driver from the Zoom website and installed it on my computer. My system software is 1.72 so it is up to date. I am using a condenser microphone attached to input 1 (though I experience the same problems with the onboard mic). I connect to my computer (with 44.1 Hz), set my Input (1 if using my condenser mic, otherwise MIC), then open Audition. NOTE: My playback device in Windows 8 is now set to Speakers: 2-ZOOM H Series Audio (Default Device) and my Recording is set to ZOOM Recording Master: 2-ZOOM H Series Audio (Default Device).
In my Audition Audio Hardware settings my Device Class is ASIO, my Device is set to ZOOM H Series ASIO. 'Release ASIO driver in background' is unchecked. In my ZOOM H Series Audio Driver Control Panel my Latency is set to 2.5ms, 'Lock Sample Rate' is unchecked. My sample rate is set at 44100 Hz. This part is confusing as if I set my sampling rate on my H4N to 48000 Hz, this still remains 41000 Hz. However, I have my H4N set to 41000 Hz so no problem there. My Sync Source is set to PC (internal) but not editable. Streaming shows Playback: NG Recording NG. I don't know what this means.
In Audition, my audio channel inputs map to:
1 [L] (Mono) --> Zoom H Series Audio in 01
2 [R] --> Zoom H Series Audio in 02
What are the 01 and 02? Are these virtual interfaces or does this refer to my input 1 and 2 on the bottom of my recorder? Why is [L] showing up as Mono (even if I'm using the onboard mic)?

Asio Compatible Audio Hardware

My audio channel outputs map to:
1 [L] Zoom H Series Audio Out 01

Audio Hardware Setup

2 [R] Zoom H Series Audio Out 02
What does this mean? Does this mean that the master returns to the Zoom?
I start a new Multitrack Session and go to the Editor.
Here is where I get confused. I Arm to Record on Track 1. As a default, my input shows up as Default Stereo Input and my output as Master. When I use these settings nothing gets recorded and Audition crashes. If I set my input to Stereo--> Zoom H Series Audio In 01 and my output to None (or anything for that matter) and hit record I get a flat line. Nothing gets recorded. It doesn't matter what I set my inputs to (Mono, Stereo), nada. Same with my outputs. I'm monitoring via headphones plugged into the Zoom so I can definitely hear sound coming from my mic.
Guidance would be appreciated.

Overview of Audition asio.dll

What Is Audition asio.dll?

Audition asio.dll is a type of DLL file associated with Third-Party Application developed by Adobe Systems, Incorporated for the Windows Operating System. The latest known version of Audition asio.dll is 1.0.1.1, which was produced for Windows 7. This DLL file carries a popularity rating of 1 stars and a security rating of 'UNKNOWN'.

What Are DLL Files?

DLL ('dynamic link library') files such as audition asio.dll are small programs, similar to EXE ('executable') files, which allow multiple software programs to share the same functionality (eg. printing).

For example, let's say you are running Windows 7 and editing a document in Microsoft Word. The DLL file that controls printing does not need to load unless it's function is needed - eg. you decide to print your document. When you select 'Print', Microsoft Word calls the printer DLL file, and it is loaded into memory (RAM) at that time. If you want to print a document in another program, Adobe Acrobat for example, that same printer DLL file will be used as well.

Why Do I Have DLL Errors?

Asio Driver For Adobe Audition Cs6

Because they are shared files, DLL files exist outside of the software application itself. Although this provides many benefits for software developers, this separation also provides an opportunity for problems to occur.

Quite simply, if Windows cannot properly load your audition asio.dll file, you will encounter an error message. Restore previous version of skype. Please see 'Causes of audition asio.dll Errors' below for more information.
