I'm fascinated by puzzles-within-puzzles where you need to find the solution by cleverly combining clues - and not all clues are true! It's a new category that I'm calling Liars' Logic.
Two Truths and a Lie
Difficulty:
Five adventurers sit around a round table, such that every adventurer has two neighbors, and the other two sit opposite her or him. Two of the adventurers are spellcasters: a cleric and a wizard. The other three are a barbarian, a fighter and a thief. They’re each of a different level from 1 to 5. Can you figure out who sits next to whom, and which level everybody is?
(Note: all that matters for this puzzle is whether adventurers sit next to one another or not, left or right doesn’t matter. So if you would draw the correct solution, the mirror image would also be a correct solution; this puzzle treats them as the same. If every adventurer would shift one seat to the left, that would of course also still be the same solution.)

The thief and fighter are both higher level than the barbarian
The lowest level adventurer sits opposite the two highest level adventurers

The highest level adventurer is a spellcaster

There are so many sources of information in today’s world. When students hear a story about a startling new discovery, do they ever wonder if it is really true?
Prince of persia the two thrones download. The authors of Two Truths and a Lie: It’s Alive! (Walden Pond Press) are challenging readers to check the validity of sources in their fun, engaging book. Three non-fiction topics are introduced in each section of the book. Two of those stories are valid scientific topics and one is an invented topic, often the topic of an online hoax.

True or Lie: Stem Card Game
Using scientific topics pulled from the book’s sidebars, we created a 52-card card deck. In Round 1, Player 1 reads a statement to Player 2 from a card. Player 2 decides whether the statement is a “Truth” or a “Lie.” In Round 2, players choose a research topic from their amassed cards and make three game cards of their own – two truths and one lie on their chosen topic. In Round 3, players try to outwit each other with the game cards they have created. Each new game in the classroom grows the game deck with new STEM material!
